Hi my name is Loncen Gray, and I am a meditation movement facilitator and Integrative Coach.
Because change is so deeply rooted in emotions and an ability to physically create outcomes, the more that we're connected to our bodies and integrate challenging emotions instead of creating further resistance, the more effectively we can face changes.
I am extremely passionate about embodiment work and experiential learning. No other solution for me has come close to addressing the challenges I've faced internally, or contributed more to my conscious development. The aim of embodiment work is integration. We are not looking to feel good or bad, but utilizing what is, as it is so we can integrate challenges, and experience more of our authentic essence.
Before my transition into this line of work, I was in various sales and marketing roles for over 15 years, ending with a training and development organization for the last 5. I have developed my own way of engaging with clients that is more heart centered generating results in a variety of sectors. My approach is based on principles of embodiment practice. In following my passions on the side of dance and combining it with my deep inner work, I was able to develop my own approach to life that is more authentic having a lasting impact to how I do business.
How this all started for me, was through my love of music and dance. Actually, we can dig back a little further to my Trinidadian roots. I grew up in a creative household built around carnival and music. My dad was a performer and delighted in making costumes and dancing for carnival. My personal expression didn't actually surface till much later in life when I had a chance to attend a music festival in BC. Before that, I didn't realize the rejuvenating powers that dance could bring. But after 9 hours of straight dancing, something re-awoke in me. The feeling I had before I left was content with life, but not excited to be alive. After a week of moving under the stars that changed. I felt charged, ready for whatever life presented. It was then that I first became aware of the rejuvenating power of movement. Each summer I would return to the mountains of BC, to fill up again, and feel a charge for months afterwards.
Then I decided to take a deep dive into my personal healing work and began a healing journey to Peru. That trip left me in a profound state of appreciation for life. And it was a catalyst for me to stop living in my head and conceptualizing life. From there I returned to Winnipeg where I was introduced to conscious movement and saw the potential of this modality to address many of the emotional challenges that were surfacing for me. I knew I found home. Combining my love of dance with my need for conscious development I decided to take the path seriously and began my training. I look forward to sharing this passion with you and hope that it can provide you with nourishing experiences as well.
